6 month anniversary gift to a deployed soldier?
okay, here's an odd question. next month it will have been six months to the day when my boyfriend and i started dating. i like celebrating the 6-month mark. my first inclination would be to plan a special night--unfortunately, he will be in iraq by that time. i am trying to think of a simple, light gift i can send him that won't cost a lot in postage, and might even be useful. does anyone have any experience with this? thanks!

- a scrap book that you made containing pictures and notes
- How about some personal note on why you love him. A cd with some of your favorite songs. A international phone calling card might also be nice so he can call you!
- ok, not sure how long you guys have been intimate or if you guys havent been at all.... but i fyou have been and thats something you were thinkinig about doing on your special night - i got an idea for ya... go out and buy some sexy lingerie and take some "special" pics for him and put them on a thumb drive - if he has a laptop there- or a cd if he has a dvd player... and maybe a lil sexy video even for him... i am sure he would love that... its just an idea lol..
- You have a pillow case right? Well continue to sleep on it. And when you are ready to send it put it in a ziplock bag. Add a few things like a tee-shirt that he has seen you wear take a few pics of yourself in it then spray your body spray on it and put in too in a ziplock bag. Add a few little cute quotes about your six months anniversay. take tons of pics and sent those to him. bake him some cookies (his favorite kind) Halloween is coming up so send him some candy not chocolate (It will melt) but suckers. hard candy would be great. But make sure you send alot becuz all of his friends will want some. And of course send him some naughty pics of your self and some funny ones to make him laugh. Just be creative with it. Send him a scrap book FULL of pics of you and of you and him. make it great. He would love all of those things.
- Have you thought about a joke gift? something to make him laugh? I know that might sound crazy but that's what I try to do for my hubby on different occasions. I sent my hubby a remote control rat, and he LOVES it. He loves to have it run across the floor to freak out other soldiers (he's a medic and there nothing nastier than a rat in an aid station) Save the romantic stuff for when he gets back, give him something that he will really enjoy and brighten up his day a bit :)
